Etymology: "Zincifies" is the third-person singular form of "zincify," a verb meaning to coat something with zinc. So to zincify is to make a surface zinc-like, or more precisely, to cover an object with a layer of zinc, the process better known as galvanizing when iron or steel is the material being coated.
