Etymology: A videoblogger is someone who posts video content to a blog, and the word is built from parts that each have their own history. "Video" comes from the Latin "videre," meaning "to see," and entered English in the 1900s as a term for the television image before it came to mean recorded footage. "Blog" is itself a clipped form of "weblog," where "web" traces back to Old English "webb" (woven fabric) and "log" to a Middle English word for a block of wood, later the ship's log used for recording a voyage. The suffix "-er" is the oldest part of the chain, descending from Latin "-arius" through Old French "-ier" into Middle English, and it simply marks a person who performs an action. So "videoblogger" is a plain formation: someone who makes a blog out of video. The plural "videobloggers" is just the regular form of that noun.
