Etymology: "Unvisualizable" is a plain formation: the prefix "un-", meaning "not," attached to "visualizable," which is itself built from "visualize" plus the suffix "-able," meaning "capable of being." Put together, the word describes something that cannot be formed as a picture in the mind or rendered as an image. The base "visualize" is the more interesting part of the chain. It comes from "visual," which traces back through Late Latin "visualis" to Latin "visus," the past participle of "videre," "to see." The "-ize" ending turns a noun or adjective into a verb meaning "to make or bring into a certain state," so "visualize" means roughly "to make something visible to the mind." From there, "visualizable" and its negative "unvisualizable" follow the same logic as countless other English adjectives.
