Etymology: "Repapers" is the third-person singular present of "repaper," which means to cover a wall, room or surface again with new wallpaper or paper. The verb is simply the prefix "re-", meaning again, attached to "paper," so its making needs no special story. The noun "paper" has a much longer road behind it. It goes back to the Ancient Greek "pápuros," the name of the papyrus plant, whose pith was pressed into writing sheets. Latin took this as "papyrus," and the word passed through Old Catalan and Anglo-Norman before settling into Middle English as "paper." The sense moved from the plant to the sheet made from it, and then to any thin material fit for covering or writing on.
