Etymology: "Reloaning" is simply the present participle and gerund of "reloan", which means to lend something again. The verb is formed from the prefix "re-", meaning again or back, attached to "loan", a word that came into English from Old Norse "lán", and that is where the whole structure comes from. The base "loan" carries the core idea: a thing handed over with the expectation that it will come back. Adding "re-" simply says the handing-over happens a second time, usually after the original loan has been returned or after the item has changed hands. Nothing in the formation is unusual, and the word follows the standard English pattern of repeating an action with the same prefix that gives us "rewrite" or "rebuild".
