Etymology: "Cameraless" is a plain compound: the English noun "camera" with the suffix "-less", meaning "without a camera." The suffix traces back to Old English "-lēas," a word for "free from" or "lacking," which survived in Middle English as "-les" before settling into the "-less" spelling used today. The first half has a longer and more layered history. "Camera" came into English from Latin "camera," which in turn was borrowed from ancient Greek "kamára," meaning a vault or arched room. The Latin word was used for a chamber or room, and that sense of an enclosed space is the thread that eventually led to the device.
