Etymology: "Biographise" is the British spelling of "biographize", a verb built from "biography" plus the suffix "-ize". The noun "biography" was itself assembled from Ancient Greek parts: "bios" meant "life" and "graphia" came from "graphein", meaning "to write". Together they gave "biographia", the writing of a life, a formation that the classical world did not use for the modern genre but which later scholars and writers applied to it. The suffix is the more recent piece. It traces back through Greek "-izein" and Late Latin "-izare", passed on through Old French and Middle English, and eventually settled into English as "-ize". Attaching it to a noun to make a verb meaning "to do something to or with that noun" is a productive English pattern, so "biographize" simply means to write or narrate a biography, here applied to the telling of someone's life through its key experiences and turning points.
